Himalayan Memories Trek Team

Chhurim sherpa

Namaste, climbers, and trekkers!

I am Chhurim Sherpa, a mountaineer and the first woman to climb Mount Everest twice in a week, a feat which was verified by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2013. I accomplished this feat in 2012, climbing Mt. Everest on May 12 and May 19 of that year.

I am from Ghunsa, in the Taplejung region of the eastern Himalayas of Nepal, below the mountain of Mt. Kangchenjunga. This is still my family home. I am Nepalese, and I speak Nepali, Tibetan, and English.  Among the peaks I have summited are * Kun Peak  * Cho-Oyu  * Amaldablam  * Denali  * Everest.

My training/education certification includes Rock and Bouldering, Ice Climbing, Mountaineering First Aid, Basic Mountain, and Advance Mountain Training. I have been climbing mountains since I was a girl. I was inspired by Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to summit Mt. Everest. My first summit was Mera Peak in 2011. I have experience on climbing teams as both member and team guide. I have also been a lead guide (Sardar) on guide service treks and climbing expeditions.
